    Buff underpowered guns. [poll]


    I really hate the fact people are trying to get rid of guns that are "overpowered" while ignoring the fact that there are many underpowered guns that struggle to keep up in pvp. Here are some of the guns that really need some help:


    Ace: High damage but recoil is rather high and slow rate of fire.

    Schofield: Should be one shot to the head due to being a bolt action, and only holding 5 rounds, lacks the range of other marksman rifles.

    Hawkhound: Same as schofield.

    Colt: Not enough damage for its magazine capability.

    Then there wont be any weapon variety because everyone use that weapon because you'd just get killed if you use the others

    there might as well not be any variety if every gun's stats are the same.


    Also when it comes to voting on nerfs / buffs:


    Sometimes it is not the best idea to let the people vote directly on the issue. Most people wanted socialism in Venezuela and the majority voted for the leaders who would implement it. Unfortunately the majority is not always right and Venezuela's economy collapsed because of the votes of the majority.

    however sad it is to see your favorite weapon or vehicle do practically no damage against your enemies you also have to remember that now that other people cant just mk 2 spam you

    I am willing to accept getting mk2 spammed if I can do the same in return XD


    Because everyone has access to the same weapons and vehicles it still depends on the player's skill level to determine if a fight is fair or not.

    Balancing and nerfing are the same thing in this context

    "Nerf" by gamer definition means to render the weapon / item useless or too weak to do any harm. The word nerf is derived from the Nerf gun toy series, as they are harmless weapons, unable to do much if any damage.

    The vote is so close if no matter what you do, nerf / keep un-nerfed you are going to piss off half the server's population. Why not just balance the mata instead of nerf it? Come to a compromise?

    Not really a nerf, just lower its damage level a bit. For some reason nelson gave it its long range capabilities back, which I'm sure he has a good reason for doing (Most game developers do have reasons to nerf / unerf an item), but yes I believe that due to it being a fully auto sniper rifle that its damage level can be lowered to the same as a maplestrike. The item needs to be balanced, not nerfed.

    why not balance? Don't ruin the gun just make it fair.


    If you balance the gun, its a win for both people. The gun is still useful to those who need it, yet is no longer toxicly overpowered.

    anyone who uses it needs life support systems and a wheelchair to live. Use a DRAGON FANG. EASY. You want to raid quickly? DRAGON. FANG.

    Tbh i think the clear answer is yes, because who in the blue heck has the amount of brain cells needed to use this. IT IS THE DEFINITION OF A CRUTCH.

    Dragon fang lacks range... Thats where the mata comes it. It is usefull for long range raids / base attacks where dragon fangs are lacking.

    Kenneth, you made some really good points in your post. I do have two things that I would like to add: the nerfed amount of damage was left open-ended in my post because I do not know what would be best, and secondly, I did not write the post as a complaint, but rather a heartfelt suggestion. Desmond had a very good suggestion to nerf just the range; would this be a good compromise for Kisses and Kenneth? Thanks.

    I started using the matamorez again because of its range, it makes a great anti-vehicle weapon that I can use without getting to close to the vehicle I am targeting. I would like the range to stay at 300 meters, but if you lower the damage level to the same as the maplestrike then that would be okay. Remember the mata has low fire rate and less ammo so in a 1v1 fight with mata vs maplestrike if both are in range then the mata is actually at a great disadvantage with the new damage lvl. Keep the range, just lower the damage to about 40 per hit.

    I believe you lost more players than you gained out of nerfing jets and other weapons. For many player's using jets was the best thing for them because they don't like having to spend several hours trying to get one in a survival server. By nerfing the jet you angered them, and THEY LEFT. Sometimes its these supposedly "OP" weapons and vehicles that draw players to this server. I know, I am one of them. I loved fighter jets. And you pretty much ruined a lot of the fun for me by nerfing jets. Please stop nerfing things.

    If the metamorez is such an annoying gun then why did they un-nerf it to give it back its long range capabilities? Apparently the people wanted it that way...


    I vote no because I am seeing a very unhealthy trend where people keep complaining about things they want nerfed. Once they nerf metas, they will want the grizly nerfed, then the Hecate, then the maple-strike, and so on and so forth until we can only use sportshots and aces because "They want to make sure its a fair fight and not about gear". Don't encourage people to take this route of continually nerfing things.


    Also reducing the damage to 1hp (body shot) and 2hp (head shot) is just plain insane. I don't believe in nerfing because it renders many player's favorite weapons useless. I believe in balancing. Instead reduce its damage level to be the same as a maple-strike instead of just down to 1 and 2. That seems fair doesn't it?


    With 1 and 2 hp damage per hit, the meta users now have no chance and they might as well trash the gun, as it would literally become the weakest gun in the game.

    Also I don't view reducing jets to nothing more than a transport to be considered "Balanced". You did more than balance it, you made its weapons useless. At least raise its damage lvl so It does not take 50 rounds to kill 1 person because now you almost can't kill anyone with a jet.


    If you really did "balance" them they would still be able to kill people with their main gun.


    Also your argument about everyone being forced to use jets is also invalid. Metas deal tons of damage and have super long range yet no one is forcing themselves to use them. They freely choose to use normal weapons in spite of the fact of how OP the meta is.

    thats not how tank missiles work in unturned. Also in that video it wont kill that guy because the car didnt blow up. The fatal thing is the Vehicle explosion not the landmines.

    Yes that is how tank missiles work. They CAN ark over kills and land behind the player. Also, the explosives were what killed the guy, not the car exploding. They nerfed jet suicide bombers so that a blast from an exploding jet only kills the pilot. Also the vehicle itself did not explode as you claimed that it did.

    Did you not read my post? Planting a bunch of bombs at the front of the plane does not always work. I have tested you "Explosive jet" theory and found that it rarely ever kills anyone. I used 3 layers of explosives and tried 5 times to kill someone with it. It only worked once. It does not always work. Explosive damage was lowered. I also made an exploding car. It took 4 charges of explosives to kill someone without armor in my youtube video using my exploding car:

    its not that hard to land on a player also it can be a little tricky to aim with a tank time to time and if you dont have a friend you wont be able to move around very much making the tank an easy target and on top of that you can just avoid a tank missile by just hiding behind a hill.

    its not easy to "hide" from a tank missile. They have splash damage. Even if you are behind a hill if the missile hits something like a tree behind you, you will still die. I have had many instances trying to evade tank missiles on hills only to have them somehow land behind me and kill me anyway. Refer to my little diagram:

    Tank missiles have high bullet drop allowing them to ark around a hill and land somewhere behind the player.

    If there is some land for the missile to land on you will still die even if behind a hill... I have had this happen to me countless times.

    The thing with tanks is that once the see where you are shooting from they can one shot you with a missile. Jet's can't one shot anything. When it comes to placing landmines on a fighter jet do you actually know how hard it is to aim that? Most players just get out of the way.

    there's no point of saying that as nobody puts barricades on their jets because they serve a single purpose, transport .If they were like the old days people would easily take you down with a high damage dealing mag that casually makes things unfair, as the jet flies and can easily either flee or dodge .

    The matamorez is also nerfed so you couldnt have taken down so many planes . Also, if you want combat fight with real weapons not unfair killing machines

    Your counter argument would be that the other player should also take a jet but that will force him to change his gameplay (as he might be doing anything else) and as soon as he takes your jet down you would leave it and spawn another one .

    Not exactly, the metamorez has been somewhat un-nerfed by being given extra range. Not so easy for jets to evade them now provided you have good aim, and if they lower barricade health like I suggested.

    I don't think you fully understand the concept of balancing in game things, if we didn't nerf jets at all there wouldn't be a point in using any other guns/vehicles since people could save tons of barricades on the jets to the point where others were not able to take down a jet without many many dmg in it, in fact it would take a lot of time and when destroyed they could just spawn another jet and keep doing this forever farming kills and ruining fun for everyone. Some times things needs to be balanced in order to open a wide variety of different choices regarding inventory loadouts, playstyle etc. We know that people really enjoy playing with maplestrike being the most popular gun without a doubt but there are still other viable options besides it. Our servers are sandbox based for a reason, we want people to have their own different playstyles and not just people farming kills all over the map with an indestructible, high speed and high explosive dmg vehicle that can be spawned every 7 seconds. Hope you understood my point.

    Even before fighter jets were nerfed hardly anyone was placing "tons of barricades on the jets to the point where others were not able to take down a jet" . Most of the jets I saw back then were unarmored. There were only a few people who armored their jets. Even the ones that were armored were only lightly armored and still had large weakpoints.
